According to DIN EN 115-1:2008+A1:2010 Section 7.3.1, escalators and moving walks must be subjected to an (annual) inspection by a competent person (e.g. experts from TÜV, DEKRA, etc.) after significant modifications and at regular intervals. If significant defects are found during this inspection, the inspector may block the installation or only permit operation under certain conditions.
The consequences are limited availability, additional costs and possibly official requirements. To prevent you as the operator from getting into such a situation in the first place, we prepare your system and the required documents in accordance with the inspection lists and thus ensure a defect-free acceptance.
In accordance with DIN EN 115-:2008+A1:2010 section 7.3.3, a new acceptance test is also required after significant changes, e.g. after replacing a control unit. Our service technician will explain the new features to the inspector before the on-site inspection and discuss the necessary risk assessments, which Geyssel can prepare for you.
A 1:1 replacement of parts of the same design and quality is not considered a major modification.
