Maintenance of escalators & moving walks
The standardized maintenance of a TÜV-certified specialist company includes the intensive inspection of all operational and safety-relevant components. Only regular and professional maintenance will ensure that your system runs smoothly, is less susceptible to faults and has a long service life. At the same time, it ensures above-average availability and high reliability, while possible defects and wearing parts are detected at an early stage – expensive repairs can thus be minimized or avoided altogether. We tailor our maintenance contracts to your individual system type and requirements – from a simple inspection in accordance with DIN EN 13015 A.3 to comprehensive full maintenance.
Overview of our maintenance modules:
Repair & maintenance
During a repair, we restore defective escalators and moving walks to their original, functional condition. Damaged components are either replaced with original parts or exchanged with compatible state-of-the-art components. In the area of control systems, this can also include reprogramming or reprogramming of control and monitoring systems to ensure optimum performance.
Maintenance goes one step further: it is used for preventive maintenance by replacing wearing parts at an early stage, before breakdowns occur. In this way, we ensure greater operational reliability, maximum system availability and optimized processes. At the same time, disruptions are reduced and costs minimized through forward-looking planning – for reliable and efficient use of your system in the long term.

Expert examination
In accordance with DIN EN 115-1:2008+A1:2010, escalators and moving walks must be inspected by a competent person (e.g. TÜV or DEKRA) at regular intervals and after significant modifications. If significant defects are found, the inspector can restrict or prohibit operation – with consequences such as limited availability, additional costs and official requirements.
To prevent this from happening in the first place, we carefully prepare your system and all the necessary documents to ensure a flawless inspection. After significant changes, such as the replacement of a control system, we actively support the inspection process: our service technician consults with the inspector in advance, explains the new features and discusses the necessary risk assessments, which we can prepare for you.
A 1:1 replacement of parts of the same type and quality is not considered a major modification.
Refurbishment & modernization
The ageing process of an escalator can be effectively slowed down by a general overhaul or partial refurbishment. Instead of a new system, we analyze practical and cost-efficient modernization options, taking into account your wishes, the local conditions and the system design. Thanks to our extensive stock of over 100,000 parts, we can supply and install spare parts for escalators and moving walks from all well-known manufacturers at short notice.
In a market with many old systems, modernization is becoming increasingly important. Although there is no obligation to retrofit due to the protection of existing systems, technical developments, increasing safety requirements and modern design concepts mean that operators are faced with a clear decision. We help you to find the best solution for your system with sound, multi-stage advice.
